Innokin are calling their new Zenith Pro tank the most advanced user replaceable coil MTL atomiser in the world and we think we agree with them. Several improvements have been made over previous models, all in response to customer requests. The tank now has a user replaceable glass but still retains the liquid flow shut off when filling. Innokin have removed the mouthpiece riser making the tank compatible with most standard 510 mouthpieces. They have also created a new 1.0Ω Z-coil with more airflow for restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping. All this while maintaining the great mouth to lung (MTL) vape the Zenith has become known for and completely compatible with the entire existing Z-coil line.
The Zenith Pro tank is part of the Platform Series designed by Phil Busardo, Dimitris Agrafiotis (AKA the Vaping Greek), and Innokin. Their goal was to create an easy and intuitive Mouth-to-lung (MTL) replaceable coil-head atomiser for either the experienced vaper or the new user who wants a no-fuss system.
The Zenith Pro features a super-simple twist-to-fill top cap with an opening large enough to fully accommodate most if not all e-liquid bottle nozzles. The twist of the top cap to open the fill port also closes off the wick holes on the head to avoid possible flooding whilst filling which is a very well thought-out feature. The coil head can be pulled out from the bottom for a clean and mess free coil change. The air flow adjustment is also a twist ring at the base with a wide range of different settings to suit your needs.
The Z Coils are available in various resistances, and we have found the flavour and performance on all of these coils to be excellent.

A versatile tank with lots of options. from Pete Lewis on 18/11/2024
I have two each of the Innokin Zenith and Zenith Pro tanks. There are several advantages to the Pro versions.
The Pro tanks can be fully dismantled for more thorough cleaning, fitting new glass tank inserts and swapping out beauty rings (available separately) to the colour of your choice. They are also less prone to leaking (non-existent as long as you occasionally check that everything is fully tightened). The non-Pro tanks are more susceptible to leaking, for some reason.
The wide range of coils will suit most vapers, with wattages from 9 to 40 watts available. I have used and analysed all the coils and I find liquids of 55% VG to be the best average for all except the 0.3 ohm coils, which require higher VG (about 70%) for optimum performance. If you are looking to vape above 40 watts, consider buying a rebuildable tank atomiser instead.
The Pro version tanks have more air inlet adjustment. The non-Pro tanks are dedicated MTL tanks. The Pro tanks also allow for restricted DL vaping because more airflow can be dialled in. This allows you to further fine tune the tank to suit your preference.
Everything about these tanks is good quality, from the tank itself to the coils. Take a little time to experiment and you will end up with long lasting performance with great taste, even at low wattages - just use good quality liquids.
I use all the Innokin tanks (Pro and non-Pro) at 13 watts with Plex-3D coils and my own recipe liquids at 55% VG with 3 air holes open, which is an MTL setup. With good quality ingredients, I regularly get 3,000 to 7,000 puffs per coil - and I am a chain vaper. The coils I use are more like to fail when I forget to refill before getting a dry hit than from naturally burning out.
I have used substandard diluents and only got 300 to 500 puffs per coil and that works out expensive - don't do that. I recommend using only good quality proprietary or home made liquids to get the best from Zenith and Zenith Pro tanks.
I have been using the tanks since February 2014 (9 months to date) and I have not yet had to replace any seals (replacements are supplied in the package when you buy the tanks.
TIP: buy some tweezers and tapered pipe cleaners so you can soak the coils in boiling hot water and clean the coil innards - you won't believe the amount of gunk it removes to get the coils working good again when taste drops off a bit...!
